A - Cleanroom Door Style

A1 - Bi-Parting Cleanroom Doors

Kwang’s external-mounted and recessed double sliding doors open in a bi-parting style to support easy ingress and egress of bulky equipment and transport carts.

Double bi-parting doors, which undergo life testing for a minimum of 1,000 cycles, include load-bearing wheels made of cast urethane for smooth, long-lasting operation. Elastomeric door seals and a fiberglass-reinforced timing belt ensure durability and operational uniformity.

A2 - Roll-Up Cleanroom Doors

Automatic roll-up doors are constructed of rigid stainless steel to accommodate high-traffic operations in cleanrooms and operating rooms. All automated roll-up doors include a PLC touch panel for easy operation and an emergency stop button with a safety switch that engages if the door strikes an object.

A3 - Sliding Cleanroom Doors

Kwang’s cleanroom-compliant sliding doors are manufactured in a broad array of designs for different applications, cleanliness levels, and environments. Kwang manufactures manual and automatic sliding doors, in single- and double-door designs, pre-hung in stainless steel or aluminum, external–mounted or recessed frames.

Automatic sliding doors include a touch-motion door pad for hands-free operation and a microprocessor-controller to monitor door position and closing speed. Pre-assembled headers and panels are well-suited for retrofit projects requiring quick and easy installation.

A4 - Swing Cleanroom Doors

Kwang’s swing-out and swing-in cleanroom doors are manufactured from hospital-grade materials for use in CGMP labs, operating rooms, surgical suites, and ISO-rated spaces.

B - Door Configuration

B1 - Single Cleanroom Door

Kwang manufactures single-wide sliding and swing-out cleanroom doors in standard 36” widths and customized, project-specific sizes for stick-built cleanrooms, modular cleanrooms, operating rooms, and surgical suites. Kwang’s cleanroom swing doors are designed in left-hand opening and right-hand opening configurations. Standard swing and reverse swing orientations support different cleanroom pressure cascades.

B2 - Double Cleanroom Door

Kwang produces double doors in sliding and swing-out designs to standard 72” widths and custom, application-specific sizes for modular and brick-and-mortar cleanrooms. Double door designs are offered in a broad array of configurations: automatic, manual, bi-parting, swing-out, and sliding. All double doors are compatible with Kwang’s electromagnetic interlocking system that prevents cross-contamination stemming from two doors opening simultaneously.

C - Door Operation

C1 - Automatic Cleanroom Doors

Kwang’s automatic doors are available in sliding, swing-out, single-door, and double-door configurations. Kwang’s automatic doors include a motion sensor and control pad for hands-free operation. The controller regulates the opening and closing speeds to promote user safety and a blow-open feature to meet NFPA 92B smoke ventilation requirements. The ADA-compliant controller includes an advanced power assist feature to support minimal operator effort when opened manually.

C2 - Manual Cleanroom Doors

Kwang’s manual doors are manufactured in sliding, swing-out, bi-parting, single-door, and double-door configurations. Optimal for retrofit projects and new lab build-outs of stick-built cleanrooms, Kwang’s pre-hung cleanrooms doors are pre-installed on a rigid, aseptic door frame for quick installation. For replacements doors installed on Kwang modular cleanrooms, Kwang offers non-pre-hungnon pre-hung doors that require framing during installation.

D - Door Orientation

D1 - Left-Hand Opening Cleanroom Doors

Kwang’s left-hand cleanroom swing doors are designed to swing into the cleanroom or out from the cleanroom with either the left or right hand. Kwang’s left-hand doors mount on the left-hand side of the door frame; the handle affixes to the right-side of the door to allow the operator to use their left hand to open the door.

D2 - Right-Hand Opening Cleanroom Doors

Kwang’s right-hand cleanroom swing doors are designed to swing into the cleanroom or out from the cleanroom with either the left or right hand. Kwang’s right-hand doors mount on the right-hand side of the door frame; the handle affixes to the left-side of the door to allow the operator to use their right hand to open the door.

E - Cleanroom Door Design

E1 - Pre-Hung in Door Frame

Pre hung cleanroom door frames are optimal for retrofit projects and new lab build-outs of brick-and-mortar cleanrooms, Kwang’s pre-hung cleanrooms doors are pre-installed on a rigid, aseptic door frame for quick installation.
